Turn everyday objects into a toy by adding some sound

Unless you are the sound effect specialist, Michael Winslow (from Police Academy), your l-shaped finger gun goes “pew pew,” your sword hits sound like “ching, ching”, and your lightsaber goes “Woooam Woooam”. We suck at making sound effects now and we did as a kid, but that never stopped us from enjoying some imaginative play. But now, there’s a smart, wearable wrist bangle for adults kids and “big kids” that can transform boring everyday objects into toys with sound effects.

Moff, is a slap band (remember those?!?) that connects to an iOS operated device via BlueTooth. This allows a variety of sounds to be generated via the wrist band with simple flicks of the wrist. Sounds include a piano, toy guns, swords, guitars, and even a magic wand flourish. The Japanese toy manufacturer has reached its funding goal on Kickstarter and they’re currently accepting preorders on their website for $53.99. Here are the specs:

  • Size: L22.5 x W2.2 x H1.5cm
  • Orange color
  • 1.058 oz
  • 3-axis acceleration sensor / 3-axis gyro sensor
  • Exchangeable coin battery (CR2032) required
